THE LARGEST WINE FESTIVAL OF THE LISBON REGION
The "Alma do Vinho" is a great Wine Events, focused on the wines of the region of Lisbon, with national projection, where the Premium product will be the Wine, which being the motto and motive of this Events, will be present in everything under the more diversified forms. In addition, the "Soul of Wine" will present a set of initiatives of interest to wine professionals, to local merchants and also to the general public.
The last edition Alma do Vinho was a huge success, attested by more than 20 thousand visitors over four days full of activities and proposals, in the areas of winemaking, but also of culture, gastronomy, sport, and leisure activities.

Beginning in the early years of the 80's, the Ascension Fair is a showcase of the activities of the county - business, with the exhibition of products and services, and cultural and associative, with exhibitions, folklore, groups of songs and dance, bands and other manifestations. The fair takes place between Wednesday before the Thursday of Espiga and the following Sunday, with free access. The whole area of ??the Urban Park of Romeira hosts the Events.

Creation of St. Francis of Assisi and arrived in Portugal, Alenquer, by the hand of the Franciscan Brothers in 1216, still that there was also a registration in 1569 of having been built by the Infanta D. Maria, in the Convent of Santa Catarina da Carnota, the oldest physical representation of a crib known in our country, it is from 1968 that the Monumental Crib is a historic landmark of our village, with its hillside setting facing the river and the its biggest figures reaching 6 meters high.
Based on this tradition, and in the continuity of the concept created in previous years, the celebrations of Alenquer, Crib of Portugal are always projected with a colorful and varied range of activities involved by the spirit of solidarity, accessibility and joy, trying to transform the entire holiday season in Alenquer into a great festivity.
